      One of the first presents that I remember Grandma giving to me was a drawing pad with instruction on how to draw simplified animals and figures. I know she had high hopes. I was always amazed how she could take a blank piece of paper and make it come to life with just a few strokes of her brush.  And Grandpa’s drawing board was such a mystery of lines and charts and numbers.  Both Grandma and Grandpa were remarkably creative and set a pattern for all of us to follow in our own way.  Here are a few things from the attic that remind us of our wonderful heritage…

      Ha, we are still trying to clean out the attic.  In the process I found several old picture scrap books put together by Grandma Gretchen and my mother Afton.  The pictures are really priceless.
